Shot Away
Effect: Magician has spectator select a card. Card is replaced in deck, and deck back into box. Magician produces a toy pistol, and has spectator "shoot" the deck off his head. Spectator's card now has a "bullet hole"
Method: First, you need two identical cards. Say, for example, you take the five of spades from a matching deck, and place it with another. So, now you have a deck with 2 five of spades. You take one of the duplicate cards, and cut a small hole in it. Place the card with the hole in the middle of the deck, and the other five of spades wherever you need it, so that it can be "forced" on the spectator. Use the riffle force.
After you force the regular five of spades on the spectator, have him replace it in the deck. Shuffle and cut the deck, being careful not to expose card with hole. Put the deck back into the box, and produce a toy gun. Have spectator pretend to shoot the deck off your head. Ask him the name of his card. When he says "five of spades", pull out the DUPLICATE card, and show him and audience that it now has a "bullet hole".
