Trick Effect & Routine:
One coin is placed in the left hand. Another coin is placed on top of it and the coins are heard to chink together. When the magician opens his hands one coin has travelled from the left hand to the right and there is now one coin in each hand.
Preparation:
All you need is two conis and two hands.
Method:
Pretend to place one coin into the left hand, but keep it palmed in the right (you can use any standard vanish for this, but don't let the spectators know that the coin isn't actually in the left hand). Secretly transfer the coin to the Classic Palm position in the right hand. Pick up the next coin with the right fingers. Use your hands to obscure what you next do. The second coin rests on the fingers. Release the first coin from the Classic Palm so it falls on top of the second coin. The first coin should then fall or bounce into the waitng left hand. You now have a coin in each hand, but the audience thinks that both coins are in the left.
Comments:
This is basic technique and every coin conjurer should be familiar with it. You can use it as a basic trick by itself, but more often it is required in another grander trick. It can also be used to routine coin tricks together and is useful for secretly getting a coin palmed in the right hand.
