EFFECT

The magician brings an audience member up with them and asks them to hold their left hand high palm down. The magician then takes some ashes from a cigarette and rubs the ashes into their hand and it starts to vanish. Then the audience member hand is then turned over and the ashes are now in their hand

PROP

Cigarette ashes or firewood ashes.
SECRET PREPARATION

Dip your finger into some ashes and get a small amount of ash on your fingers.

METHOD

When you tell the audience member to raise their hand, you tell them to raise it higher. Then you take your right hand and raise their hand a little higher, but on your fingers there is a little bit of ashes and they stick onto the audience members hand, so it seems like the ashes vanished from your hand into their hand.
Step 1) tell the spectator to hold their left hand high palm down.
Step 2) tell them that you want it a little higher and take your hand with the ash on it and lift their hand higher, but as you do press your finger on the audience members palm and transfer the ash to their hands. If you do this easily the audience member should not notice it.
Step 3) ask them to close their fist and to not move their hand and then take someone's cigarette or ashes that you have and place a small amount in your hand.
Step 4) rub the ashes so that they spread out and kind of disappear.
