Trick Effect & Routine:
A packet of 8 cards is fanned face up to the spectator. He/she points to one card. The magician drops that card on the table. Next the backs of the other seven cards are shown two at a time. All of course are the same color. Then the spectator's card is turned over and shown to have a different color back.

Preparation:
Make a packet of eight cards, four of one color and four of another, alternating the colors of the backs.

Method:
Spread the cards and have the spectator point to one card. Split the packet at that point and lay the chosen card on the table. When you bring the halves back togeather put the original top half on the bottom. (essentially the packet is cut at the chosen card)

With the cards face up in the left hand, thumb off the top card into the right hand. Turn both hands down to show the backs. Turn your hands back up. Drop the right hand card on the table and thumb off the top card of the packet on top of it. Repeat until the backs of all of the cards have supposedly been shown.

Finally, turn over the chosen card to show the different colored back.

To set up again, drop the chosen card on top of the rest of the cards and you are ready to go.

Comments:
This makes a great table to table trick as it stays set up. I put a rubber band around the packet and keep it in my breast pocket.
